Macomb Family Services Early Learning Community Hub provides resources, training, and support to adults who care for children ages 0-5 at no cost to you. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle, neighbor, or professional childcare provider, the ELC is here to support you in providing children a great start so they enter school prepared and ready to learn. The Hub provides a caring, fun, and educational environment for you and your children.
By age 3 a child’s brain is 80% the size of an adult. The majority of the development of a child occurs before a child even enters school, which means he or she must be exposed to a variety of opportunities right from birth. Studies have shown that children who can’t read by the first grade will spend their lifetimes catching up. |
