 SENIOR ADVOCATE SERVICES

The Senior Advocate provides services to low-income senior citizens 60 years of age or older living in Macomb County. The goal of this Service is to provide the support and assistance needed to promote and secure happier independent and congregate living. Initial needs are assessed and possible provisions are then discussed.
Unlike other Advocate services that provide Guardianship and Conservatorships Macomb Family Services program provides a higher level of care and personal assistance. Our Advocate meets one on one with the senior and has regular follow up visits to insure that their needs are being met. The Advocate then can assist in linking the consumer with other agency programs and community resources.
Fees for Services:
- Guardianship Services - 1 Year $720*
* Fee covered by FIA for Medicaid recipients.
Note: A sliding scale will be employed in the event that an otherwise eligible senior citizen cannot afford the above fees.
